ITGS Newsletter

Grade 12 students have started their ITGS internal assessment, which is a IT solution to a specific problem.
They have been working on Criterion A that includes initial consultation with the client and doing investigation.
During the Criterion A process, students must identify a specific client who has a problem with the present situation that can be best addressed by an IT solution. After consulting with the client, the student must explain the inadequacies of the present situation, which may or may not involve the use of an IT system.
The following key questions should be considered.
•  Who is the client?
•  What is the present situation?
•  What are the inadequacies of the present situation?
This information obtained from the client can be presented in a variety of ways, such as a
written record of the interview (either a summary or transcript), a sound file, a video, or an exchange of
emails that may be supported by a questionnaire.

JAL

Hi, I am happy for being the JAL teacher of G12 class this year, too.

We have a test every Monday in this year, too.(Kanji or words, / depending on students’ levels )

We have two different levels in the class and below is what we did with each group.
With one group …We worked on our textbook “Genki Unit 4”.
We learned past tense of verbs and new particles.
Next we will learn the forms of adjectives. We practice writing to be able to make longer sentences.
With the other group…We worked on Genki 2, unit 13.
In this unit, we learnt making appointments to meet, giving reasons, saying what you can or cannot do.
And sometimes we try to debate on a decided theme.

Chemistry Newsletter

Dear parents I hope this year will be full of joy and education

This unit starts by introducing different types and uses of fossil fuels. The process of fractional distillation of crude oil is discussed with its importance as the main source of organic molecules. There is an opportunity for learners to research and explore the vast variety of everyday products that originate from crude oil. The unit then considers simple hydrocarbons limited to alkanes and alkenes.
These are the main topics we will cover for IGCSE combined science

-        - Describing of hydro carbons
-        -  State that the products of complete combustion of hydrocarbons, exemplified by methane, are carbon dioxide and water
-        - Naming hydrocarbons
-         - Drawing hydrocarbons structures

-         - Cracking larger hydrocarbons
